Well, my New Year's Day trip to Monroe, La. has continued through today. I changed my plans of going to Memphis and instead headed out Jan. 1 for here, and stayed here. Mom is still in CVICU, but doing better. I arrived here this morning in the hopes of speaking to her pulmonary physician about 2-1/2 hours before visiting hours, but I have not been summoned.
Brought my laptop with me, and was pleasantly surprised to see the hospital had wireless internet available.
Cell phone coverage in this area for my cell phone is horrible--I generally have to drive about 10 minutes into town to get solid coverage--but with the holidays, I don't think I have missed much in work. I miss my own family and kids, and hope to get back soon and see them.
